Dr. Lundell

Dr.Lundell.JPGDr. Lundell was born and raised in Jamestown, NY. Having a strong interest in mathematics and science, he pursued a career as a mechanical engineer. Following graduation from SUNY Fredonia and RIT, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both physics and mechanical engineering, he was hired by IBM in Owego, NY. While working at IBM as a vibration and shock analyst for military hardware, he had the opportunity to work on many interesting projects and missions. This included the Space Shuttle, B2 Bomber, Tomahawk and Harpoon Cruise Missiles and many others. He enjoyed his work but found that it would be more personally fulfilling to work with people providing health care services “hands-on.” He combined these interests and after 8 years in engineering, decided to return to school to become a dentist.

Dr. Lundell graduated Magna Cum Laude (with high honors) from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate Degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Having won many awards and accolades while in dental school and discovering that his engineering background was well suited for a specialty career in orthodontics, he decided to pursue this further. He was accepted into the orthodontics post-graduate residency program and completed 2 years of specialty training and a Master of Science degree in orthodontics. After completing his training, he opened a solo practice in Greece, NY.  He also continued for several years working at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine as a clinical instructor in the orthodontics department teaching residents during their training.

Dr. Lundell has been at the same location in Greece, NY for over 20 years and has treated many patients with varying degrees of orthodontic issues from minor tooth movements to severe malocclusions and orthognathic surgery. His ongoing pursuit of the latest advancements in his field and continuing education interests ensure that his patients receive the best quality of care. He has also become one of the few orthodontists in the Rochester area to become board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest level of achievement attainable in the profession.  He serves on The College of Diplomates, a branch of the American Board of Orthodontics.

During the past 20 years, Dr. Lundell’s passion for diagnosing and treating patients with orthodontic issues has continued to increase. He frequently collaborates with local general dentists, pedodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons to ensure the optimal long-term result for each patient. He loves his work and prefers to treat each and every patient personally without an assistant. By the end of the treatment process, Dr. Lundell often develops a personal professional relationship with his patients lasting long after treatment is complete. Feel free to stop in and visit us when your treatment is complete!

In his spare time, Dr. Lundell enjoys playing fingerstyle acoustic guitar and keyboards. He lives with his wife in Ogden, NY which makes it convenient to see patients in any situation which may require immediate attention during treatment after hours and on the weekends.
